عيد القديس يوحنا الدمشقي في البلمند

في يوم السبت الواقع فيه السادس من شهر كانون الأول 2014، أقيمت خدمة غروب عيد القديس يوحنّا الدمشقي في كنيسة رقاد السيدة - البلمند. وفي صباح يوم الأحد، ترأس القدّاس الإلهي للعيد سيادة الأسقف ديمتريوس (شربك)، أسقف صافيتا، الجزيل الاحترام، بمشاركة كهنة وشمامسة معهد اللاهوت. تلى القدّاس الإلهي مائدة محبّة في المعهد التمّت حولها الأسرة البلمنديّة، حيث ألقى سيادة الأسقف ديمتريوس كلمة نقل فيها معايدة صاحب الغبطة البطريرك يوحنّا العاشر الكلي الطوبى، وتوجّه بمعايدته الشخصيّة للجميع. بدوره، عايد عميد المعهد الأب بورفيريوس جرجي جميع المشاركين في هذه المناسبة من أساتذة وموظفين وطلاّب، معبّرًا عن تقديره لعملهم الدؤوب في المعهد.

The Feast of St. John of Damascus in Balamand

On Saturday, December 6^th, the Vespers of St. John of Damascus’ feast was celebrated at the Dormition of the Theotokos Church, Balamand Patriarchal Monastery. On Sunday morning, the Divine Liturgy was celebrated, presided by His Grace Bishop Dimitrios (Sharbak), Bishop of Safita, and with the participation of the priests and deacons working at the Institute of Theology.  After the Liturgy, the Balamandian family gathered together for a banquet at the Institute of theology during which His Grace Bishop Dimitrios relayed the festal greetings of His Beatitude John X. Father Porphyrios Georgi, Dean of the Institute, also spoke and greeted the participants in this feast, professors, employees and students, and expressed his appreciation for their diligent work in the Institute.
