الجلسة الإفتتاحيّة للمؤتمر السابع والأربعين لحركة الشبيبة الأرثوذوكسيّة

 

 

ببركة وحضور صاحب الغبطة البطريرك يوحنّا العاشر الكلي الطوبى والجزيل الاحترام، استقبل معهد القديس يوحنّا الدمشقي اللاهوتي في البلمند في الرابع والعشرين من شهر تشرين الثاني الجلسة الإفتتاحيّة للمؤتمر السابع والأربعين لحركة الشبيبة الأرثوذوكسيّة. افتتح اللقاء بصلاة الغروب في دير سيدة البلمند، ثم انتقل المشاركون إلى المعهد لسماع كلمة توجيهيّة لغبطة البطريرك.

قدّم غبطته تأملاً في مفهوم التجدد الروحي في الكنيسة من وحي ليتورجيّة الميلاد المجيد، مشيرًا فيها إلى نقاط عدة كإعادة الجبلة، والتواضع، والترفّع عن الأهواء وحب الظهور، والنقاء، والتألّه، واليقظة في الصلاة، وأخيرًا السلام الذي ارتبط صميميًا بالميلاد المجيد.

بعد ذلك تسلّم الحضور بعض الهدايا التذكاريّة من صاحب الغبطة، الذي تمنى لهم التوفيق في الجلسات المقبلة، وتوجه الجميع للمشاركة في مائدة محبة.

 

The Opening Ceremony of The Orthodox Youth Movement’s 47^th Annual Conference

 

            With the blessing and presence of His Beatitude Patriarch John X of Antioch and all the East, the Saint John of Damascus Institute of Theology hosted the opening session of the Orthodox Youth Movement’s 47^th annual conference on November 24, 2016. At the inaugural ceremony the participants joined together at Our Lady of Balamand Patriarchal Monastery for the celebration of Vespers. Then they went to the Institute of Theology and gathered around His Beatitude, listening to His directives.

            His Beatitude gave a reflection on the spiritual renewal in the Church inspired by the Liturgy of the Holy Nativity of Christ. He referred to several points such as personal renewal, humility, getting over the negative passions such as pride, and attaining purity, deification, vigilance in prayer, and finally peace which is intimately linked to the Holy Nativity.

            At the end, the participants received souvenir gifts from His Beatitude. He wished them all success in their subsequent sessions. Then they all participated in a banquet held in this occasion.
