لقاء مع صاحب السيادة المتروبوليت سابا، راعي أبرشية بصرى حوران وجبل العرب

اجتمعت أسرة معهد القديس يوحنا الدمشقي اللاهوتي في جامعة البلمند بصاحب السيادة المتروبوليت سابا (إسبر) الجزيل الاحترام، في 4 شباط 2020. وقد تناول المتروبوليت سابا في حديثه عددًا من القضايا التي تتحدّى الشباب اليوم، مؤكّدًا على أهمّيّة الاعتدال، متجنّبين الانغلاق والتطرّف من جهة، والانفتاح الأعمى والتراخي من جهة أخرى. كما أجاب عن أسئلة الطلاب، التي دارت حول التحديات الرعائيّة التي ستواجه عملهم في المستقبل، مشدّدًا على أهمّيّة المحبّة الفاعلة وافتقاد الكاهن لرعيّته.

وفي نهاية اللقاء، قدّم صاحب السيادة للطلاب كتابه الجديد بعنوان "في العهد القديم، قراءة مسيحيّة معاصرة".

A Meeting with His Eminence Metropolitan Saba, Metropolitan of Bosra, Horan and Jebel El-Arab

The family of the St. John of Damascus Institute of Theology at the University of Balamand had a meeting with His Eminence the Right Reverend Metropolitan Saba, on February 4, 2020. His Eminence addressed many topics that challenge today’s youth, stressing the importance of moderation, to stay away from extremism or intolerance while avoiding blind acceptance and laxity. His Eminence also answered the students' questions, which revolved around the pastoral challenges that they will face in their future ministry. He emphasized active charity and the priest's visits to his parish.

At the end of the meeting, His Eminence offered to the students his new book entitled "On the Old Testament, A Contemporary Christian Reading."
