لقاء مع الأسقف مارتن هاين
في السادس والعشرين من شهر تشرين الأول لعام 2016، وببركة وحضور صاحب الغبطة البطريرك يوحنّا العاشر الكلي الطوبى والجزيل الاحترام، استقبلت أسرة معهد القديس يوحنّا الدمشقي اللاهوتي وفدًا من كنيسةKurhessen-Waldek اللوثرية الألمانيّة برئاسة الأسقف مارتن هاين القادم من ألمانيا. بعد الاشتراك في مأدبة الغداء، شكر الأسقف هاين غبطة البطريرك ودعاه لزيارة ألمانية مبيّنًا علاقة التعاون الطيبة بين الكنيستين التي بدأت منذ خمس وعشرين سنة.
وقد ألقى الأسقف هاين بعد الظهر محاضرة في قاعة البطريرك إغناطيوس الرابع، تحدث فيها عن التعاون والحوار في خدمة وحدة الكنيسة. وأشار أيضًا إلى البيان المشترك الذي تم توقيعه مع غبطة البطريرك. وبعد طرح عدد من الأسئلة من أساتذة وطلاب المعهد، توجّه عميد المعهد قدس المتقدم في الكهنة الأب بورفيريوس جرجي بالشكر لسيادة الأسقف هاين معبرًا عن فرحه بهذا اللقاء ومقدّمًا له وللوفد المرافق بعض الهدايا التذكارية
Meeting with Bishop Martin Hein
With the blessing and the presence of His Beatitude Patriarch John X of Antioch and All the East, the Saint John of Damascus Institute of Theology welcomed a delegation of the German Evangelical Church of Kurhessen-Waldeck headed by Bishop Martin Hein, on October 26, 2016. After the banquet Bishop Hein expressed his gratitude to His Beatitude. He also invited him to visit Germany. Bishop Hein signaled the good cooperative relationship between the two churches. This relationship started 25 years ago.
In the afternoon, Bishop Hein gave a lecture in Patriarch Ignatius IV Hall. He spoke about role of collaboration and dialogue in Church Unity. He also referred to a joint statement signed with His Beatitude. Then he answered to the questions raised by the seminarians and faculty. At the end, Father Porphyrios Georgi, Dean of the Saint John of Damascus Institute of Theology, showed his gratitude to Bishop Hein and his delegation. He offered them some gifts as souvenirs from the Institute.
