The Saabs have donated a three-story building, covering nearly 1,000 square metres, on the main campus of the University of Balamand (Koura), along with a large collection of books. The Centre will be operated by the University through the Saint John of Damascus Institute of Theology, in accordance with the founders’ objectives.
With the blessing of His Beatitude John X, Patriarch of Antioch and All the East, and high patron of all the institutions built on the lands of Our Lady of Balamand Patriarchal Monastery and its extensions, the Centre was officially named: Adib and Hélène Saab Centre for Antiochian Letters and Culture.
قَدَّم المؤسسان، من مالهما الخاص، بناءً من ثلاث طبقات بمساحة ألف متر مربع تقريباً، يقوم في حرم جامعة البلمند، مع مكتبة كبيرة.
ببركة صاحب الغبطة السيّد يوحنا العاشر، بطريرك أنطاكية وسائر المشرق والرئيس الأعلى لكل المؤسسات القائمة على أراضي دير سيّدة البلمند البطريركي، أُطلق على المركز اسم "مركز أديب وإيلين صعب للآداب والثقافة الأنطاكية". ووُضع المركز في إدارة معهد القديس يوحنا الدمشقي اللاهوتي في جامعة البلمند ليديره وفق أهداف المؤسِّسَين.
Center and Name - بناء المركز واسمه
