Institute of Theology, Balamand, December 3 and 4, 2022
Under the High auspices and blessings of His Beatitude Patriarch of Antioch and All the East John X, the St. John of Damascus Institute of Theology celebrated Its Patron Saint.
OnSaturday evening, the festive Vespers took place at Our Lady of Balamand Patriarchal Monastery. On Sunday morning, the Most Reverend, His Eminence Metropolitan Ephraim of Tripoli and Koura and dependencies, presided over Matins and the Divine Liturgy representing His Beatitude the Patriarch. His Grace Costantine Kayyal, the Elected Bishop and Patriarchal Vicar, His Grace Romanos (Al-Hannat), the Dean of the St. John of Damascus Institute of Theology, Rt. Rev. Archimandrite Jack Khalil, along with many other priests and deacons, concelebrated and assisted His Eminence in service.
The Greek Ambassador to Lebanon, Her Excellency Mrs. Katrina Fontoulaki; Their Excellencies Deputy Mr. Adib Abdel-Massih, Deputy Mr. Georges Atallah and Deputy Mr. Fadi Karam ; and the President of the University of Balamand, Prof. Dr. Elias al-Warrak, as well as several deans, chief officers, and directors, attended the celebration, in addition to the staff, faculty members, and students of the Institute of Theology.
The Divine Liturgy was followed by a festive lunch at the Institute of Theology.
