The St John of Damascus Institute of Theology welcomed Fr George Dragas, the Patristics Professor from Holy Cross Greek Orthodox School of Theology in Boston, MA. Fr George Dragas gave a talk to the Balamand Seminarians entitled: "The Three Hierarchs on Education."

Bishop Ghattas Hazim, the Abbot of the Balamand Monastery and the Dean of the Institute of Theology welcomed Fr Dragas, in the presence of the Faculty and Students, and invited him to a dinner with the Balamand family after the talk. Fr Dragas is visiting the Archdiocese of Tripoli upon the inivtaiton of His Eminence Metropolitan Ephrem.

استضاف معهد القديس يوحنا الدمشقي اللاهوتي الأب الدكتور جورج دراغاس، أستاذ  مادة الآباء في معهد الصليب المقدس في بوسطن، وقد ألقى الأب دراغاس حديثاً بعنوان " الأقمار الثلاثة والتربية". وقد رحب به الأسقف غطاس هزيم رئيس دير سيدة البلمند البطريركي وعميد معهد اللاهوت وأساتذة وطلاب المعهد.

وتأتي زيارته ضمن جولة يقوم بها في أبرشية طرابلس بدعوة من سيادة المتروبوليت افرام. وبعد الحديث استضافه سيادة الأسقف غطاس على مائدة العشاء مع عائلة البلمند.
