Graduation Ceremony 2007
June 25, 2007The ceremony begun in the morning with a Divine Liturgy. This year, the number of graduates was fifteen as follows: Father Ibrahim Saad, Father Antonios.Saad, Jihad Bitar, George Yaacoub, George Hakim, Houssam Zeina, Ramy Massouh, Deacon Roni Ghandour, Roni Bou Saba, Richard Awad, Shaker Jreige, Abdo Mitri, Fadi Salloum, Fadi Ibrahim and Hadi Girgis. After the end of the celebration, the Institute of Theology invited the students and their parents to a lunch in the occasion. May the Lord God bless our graduates, bestowing on them the zeal to serve Him in righteousness and truth. احتفل معهد يوحنا الدمشقي اللاهوتي في جامعة البلمند بتخريج دفعة من طلابه. وفي القاعة الكبرى لدير سيدة البلمند البطريركي، وذلك بعد القرار الذي اتخذته إدارة الجامعة بتخريج طلاب كل كلية ضمن احتفال منفرد، نظرا للظروف التي تحول دون إقامة احتفال التخرج السنوي. حضر الاحتفال رئيس الجامعة الدكتور إيلي سالم، عميد معهد اللاهوت الدكتور جورج نحاس وعمداء الكليات والأساتذة وحشد من الأهالي، واستهل بتراتيل قدمتها جوقة المعهد، تلتها كلمة باسم الطلاب ألقاها الطالب جورج حكيم. وشدد الدكتور سالم في كلمته على أهمية دور متخرجي المعهد في بناء النفوس ونشر القيم المسيحية الانسانية من محبة وتواضع وحب للآخر وقبوله. بعد ذلك تم توزيع الشهادات على الخريجين وهم: إبراهيم رمزه سعد، أنطوان جرجي سعد، جهاد سامي البيطار، جورج أسعد يعقوب، جورج إليس الحكيم، حسام فؤاد زينة، رامي عبد المسيح مسوح، روني إلياس الغندور، روني إلياس بو سابا، ريتشارد أنطونيوس عوض، شاكر جرجي جريج، عبدو وهيب متري، فادي سميح سلوم، فادي مطانس إبراهيم، هادي فايز جرجس. وفي النهاية، استضاف المعهد الطلاب المتخرجين وأوليائهم على الغداء وشكروا الرب على نعمه طالبين لصاحب الغبطة البطريرك إغناطيوس الرابع راعي المعهد بمحبته وأبوته السنين العديدة. .

Visit of Nikita Struve
May 11, 2007During his visit to Lebanon, Professor Nikita Struve, Professor Emeritus of the UniversitParis X (Nanterre), visited the Institute of Theology at the University of Balamand. Professor Struve met with the Faculty and students of the Institute of Theology, and he visited the Monastery of Balamand.
Nikita Struve is a renown author and Orthodox Thinker. He is the editor of the Russian Journal Вестник РХД (The Messenger) and Director of the Publishing House YMCA-Press, and responsible of the Messager orthodoxe
